The rivers and creeks shaping the geography of central Transylvania express the albums’s concept: the organic character of village culture, the pristine style of village musicians and formative power of nature. Rivers, forests, and hills frequently feature in the songs, revealing a relationship based on respect and not explotitation between humans and nature. The diversity of the hilly region is reflected in the music: each village has its musical quirk while showing the captivating beauty and economy of traditional music. Years of field work by band members, the voice and spirit of singers and bands captured on tape and nature itself make up this album – Tükrös’s message to the present.
